The Coalition Ordered Governments (COG) Soldiers are the only force strong enough to resist the subterranean Genociadal Monsters known as the Locust Horde.
Armed with their Snub Pistol, Lancer Assault Rifle, and Chainsaw Bayonet, they fight to ensure the safety of mankind. Their moniker dervies from the oath of Allegiance they swear to the coalition: every COG Soldier pledges their place in the Infinite Machine and as such, becomes a "Gear".
