After a harrowing mine cart chase through the Temple of Doom, Indy and his companions, Willie and Short Round escape with the mystical Sankara stones. They try to make their way through the forest surrounding the mine, only to find themselves ambushed by the evil high-priest Mola Ram and his followers from the Thuggee death cult.

Trapped in the center of a rotting rope bridge suspended high over a crocodile infested river, Indiana realizes he has no choice but to warn his friends and cut the ropes. Together, they all hang on for dear life as the bridge splits and falls against the cliff side sending many Thuggee warriors to their deaths.

In a final struggle for the Sankara stones, Mola Ram tries to pull away Indy's satchel that holds the stones. Invoking the power of Shiva, Indiana voices an incantation that causes the stones to glow red-hot and burn through the cloth. As they hang high above the deadly chasm, Indiana Jones and Mola Ram are locked in a battle to the death for the power of the Sankara stones.
