Wedge Antilles has piloted his X-wing Rebel Fighter though some of the most important battles in the fight against the evil Galactic Empire. The Young Corellian served as Red Two during the Battle of Yavin, where he flew as Luke Skywalker’s Wingman, maneuvering down a small trench to the Death Star’s thermal exhaust port.
Wedge was also an active participant in the Battle on Hoth, serving as a member of Rogue Group. Piloting his Snowspeeder, Wedge cleverly used his harpoon and tow cable to trip up one of the fearsome Imperial AT-ATs, allowing the Rebels time to make their escape. And finally, it was Wedge Antilles, serving now as Red Leader, who accompanied the Millennium Falcon deep into the Death Star in his X-wing fighter – striking the final blow to destroy the fully operational battle station, and winning the Battle of Endor for the Rebel Alliance.
