Mightiest river of Middle-earth, the great Anduin winds its way south along the eastern flank of the Misty Mountains toward the sea. As the Fellowship makes its way down river in their Elven boats they are awed by the sight of the mighty Argonath.
Long ago carved from the rocky hillsides upon either bank, these towering statues of the ancient Kings Elendil and his son Isildur* stand with arms raised in warning to travellers from the north. For Aragorn it is a moment long sought, to look upon the carved faces of his kinsmen of old and the glory of ancient Gondor they represent.
The moment has been expertly captured by Gus Hunter - long time Weta conceptual designer who started on The Lord Of The Rings trilogy alongside Jeremy Bennett and was an early adopter of the digital painting techniques Weta uses today.
The external dimensions of the print are 23.2" x 11.7" and the printed area is 20.9" x 8.9". A lovely cinematic format. Exactly the same size as the previously released prints.
