The new year starts with our new product of the month - the 1/6 Scale Leatherface ARTFX Statue from Kotobukiya.
For all who don´t have this statue at home yet, you have the oppurtunity to catch up on it before the next Chainsaw Massacre takes place in Texas.

29.12.2021 • THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT
The universe is expanding. This applies to our universe as well as to the cinematic »Star Wars« universe. It all began in 1977 with »A New Hope«. Even then, George Lucas had in mind to let the universe grow into the past and to tell the prehistory. The original trilogy (1977-1983) was followed by the three prequels, an animation series and finally a sequel trilogy (2015-2019) and two individual films under the roof of the mouse company.
Not everything found the unreserved love of Star Wars fans. We had never asked why Han Solo is actually called "Han Solo". And the third trilogy was often perceived as devoid of ideas and concepts...
Then came »The Mandalorian« and gave us back our belief in the Star Wars world. On TV at Disney+, the universe will now continue to expand with new series. The next live-action series starts today with »The Book of Boba Fett« and continues the story of the world-famous bounty hunter.
After celebrating »The Mandalorian« we look forward to the dive into the first spin-off series with the two main characters Boba and Fennec.

27.12.2021 • FAREWELL, MARK TAYLOR!
Unfortunately some sad news came in from Eternia over Christmas... Mark Taylor, one of the groundbreaking designers in the toy industry, passed away on Christmas eve at the age of 80.
Especially we MOTU fans got shattered by these news, because we have to thank Mark Taylor for something big: He-Man and the Masters of the Universe! With his vision of He-Man, Skeletor and co, - or the »Lords of Power« as they originally have been called - Mark created an extremely important element of all our childhood which we could not imagine to ever miss.
In the wonderful NETFLIX documentary »The Toys that made us« (season 1), he contributed his part with highly interesting interviews. Very recommending for those of you who might not have seen it yet.
Thank you for everything, dear Mark, that you have given us! The Powers of Castle Grayskull will guide and protect you...

Dear nerds and geeks, dear collectors, dear movie-, series- and comic-fans, dear customers of S.P.A.C.E,
MERRY CHRISTMAS and all the best for the new year!
2021 now comes to its end... again a year that was really a tough one. Of course, the pandemic or all the involved challenges which every single one of us has to face, is formative for the current times. For us here at S.P.A.C.E, the effects had impacts on our personnel, but even more in such aspects like the logistics and price developements. In these times, everything is different, harder to handle, more tricky... and so much just takes a lot longer. Therefore we thanks all our customers who have been so patient during this year and who understood that we all - not matter which industry or which size of company - are in the middle of an exceptional situation. Thanks also to every single one who encountered us with understanding and loyalty, who held tight and supported us, the little specialty dealer of a really exotic segment. That was very important!
So we can move with strength and full of brave - even if currently exhausted from the last couple of weeks - towards the new year. We already can predict to things: our passion won't go away - and we will try to raise the bar again and optimize processes to be able to offer you, dear community, the best possible service in this wonderful world of collectibles.
One word regarding our crew, our little piggy pile here: looking back on the year 2021, I really have to say that this year was totally characterized by GIRLS POWER - and this I am not saying because of any mamdatory gender thing... No, our girls really gave everthing and even more! They deserve an extra portion of THANKS and great RESPECT! Our boys were also pretty okay, but the girls rocked the S.P.A.C.E house in 2021! THANK YOU!!
We would like to point out one more little thing for the holidays:

»Matrix Resurrections« hits cinemas today! »The Matrix« from 1999 was an innovative smash hit that rightly wrote genre and film history. Two somewhat confused and much weaker sequels followed. So the trilogy was completed.
Who needs a fourth part, more than 20 years later? But it became usual in Hollywood somehow: If something is successful, it will be continued and even warmed up again after 20 years. As with every new title, we of course always want a good and entertaining film. But we are quite sceptical because comparable attempts at resuscitation in the past have often disappointed us...
Well, let's see what Neo, Trinity and the rest will do with or in the matrix!

Since 2014, the Asian manufacturer Threezero has been presenting collectible figures for »Game of Thrones« in the popular 1/6 scale. The series aso far includes 21 figures. Jaime Lannister from season 7 recently arrived in the Action Figure District lately, where he was put under the magnifying glass by our Mick. You can find the review of the figure here.

It was shortly before Christmas... 20 years ago! »The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring« hit cinemas and made history. It almost wouldn't have happened if the small independent studio New Line Cinema hadn't taken over production. It became a success story for director Peter Jackson, the cast, Weta Workshop, New Zealand and New Line Cinema.
On that day in December 2001, we experienced pure cinema magic. It is no coincidence that many of us still remember this day very clearly - including in which movie theater and with whom we saw this film. The Lord of the Rings trilogy secured a place of honor in the pop culture pantheon. Much of what followed would have been inconceivable without Lord of the Rings. Happy Anniversary dear hobbits, elves, dwarves, wizard, men and orcs of Middle-earth. We already know what we're going to put in the Blu-ray player for Christmas 😄.

Are you ready for the next monster hunt? Today, the second season of »The Witcher« finally starts on NETFLIX! We are really looking forward to encounter Geralt of Rivia, Cirilla of Cintra and Yennefer of Vengerberg again.
A question that drives us is, of course "when does a manufacturer get the license for cool 1/6 figures for the Netflix series?". Dark Horse served both the series and the game in an affordable small format. McFarlane Toys keeps on supplying all fans of action-figures and when it comes to high-end collectibles, Prime 1 Studio already gave us a large selection from »The Wild Hunt«. A Witcher 1/6 license is yet still open.
If we would have to place a bet, our tip would be Threezero. Today, »Spider-Man: No Way Home« starts hitting cinemas everywhere and the MCU takes the next loop!
The identity of the friendly spider from the neighborhood was revealed. A spell by Doctor Strange goes wrong and opens a gate into the multiverse...
In the trailer we already saw Alfred Molina as Otto Octavius and Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborn / Green Goblin. So there is a lot of evidence that there is something to the rumors and that we also get to see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in their Spidey roles. The speculations come to an end today...

At the Game Awards 2021, the development studio showed a cinematic reveal trailer for »Star Wars Eclipse« and did a great job of making our mouths watering:

The action-adventure is still in the early stages of development. So it will surely take a good while before the game is going to be released...
Quantic Dream is known for games like »Detroit: Become Human« and »Heavy Rain«. Games that place a lot of value on a complex narrative. The decisions of the players do have a dramatic impact on the course of the story and the gameplay shall offer more possibilities.

A few days ago, 20th Century Studios released a new trailer for »Nightmare Alley«.

The film starts hitting cinemas worldwide very soon and it promises to be one of the highlights in the first quarter of 2022! There are three good reasons why we are really looking forward to the film adaptation of the novel by William Lindsay Gresham:
1. Already the trailer is photographed fantastically, in a great film noir atmosphere that hooked us.
2. It's the new movie from Guillermo del Toro, one of our favorite directors who has never disappointed us. A visit at the movies is of course a must.
3. The cast of the thriller has many Oscar nominees and winners and also brings together a number of our screen favorites: Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Toni Colette, Willem Dafoe, Richard Jenkins, Rooney Mara, Ron Perlman, Mary Steenburgen and David Strathairn.

It somehow seems that IRON STUDIOS raged into the factory of Santa Claus, to make his elves produce collectibles in task work...
Past weekend, the guys from Brazil introduced loads of novelties during their almost 16-hours long »Inside« show on YouTube. You almost get smashed by all the impressions!
Especially the new license reveals cought our attention, because in the near future, we can look forward to collectibles from »Masters of the Universe«, »Turtles«, »Saint Seiya!«, »Kiss«, »Peaky Blinders«, »The Exorcist« or »The Iron Giant«.
Besides that, they of course also showed a lot of new prototypes. We totally freaked out about the Prince Adam 1/10 Art Scale statue. It was also very nice to see that the ThunderCats will get to face their enemies ( Ma-Mutt, Slithe aso.).
The DeLorean railroad full set in 1/10 from the 3rd »Back to the Future« part totally blew us away. We just hope that the price won't blast through the roof again...
Another pleasant surprise was Bugs Bunny as Batman and Daffy Duck as Superman from »Space Jam«. And talking about cartoon stuff, we should also mention Dino + Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm from the cult cartoon series »The Flintstones« - sugar sweet!
And the list goes on and on, collectible by collectible...

Let's admit it: the finale of season 2 of the NETFLIX series »Money Heist« was the perfect ending for the series. But when something is that successful, no broadcaster wants to keep the hands off the money printing machine and so three more seasons followed. Starting today, the final episodes of season 5 part 2 will air on Netflix.
We are also happy to admit that we were looking forward to seeing the heroes again, even if that unfortunately means that there is a lot of blasting around and the authors let some cherished characters jump over the edge. But you're never really dead in the world of series, because luckily the language of film invented flashbacks. This is most impressively proven with Berlin, who was still present in flashbacks after his serial death at the end of season 2 and with »Berlin: A New Series« in 2023, he will even get his own series as a prequel for »Money Heist«.
