With »The Boys« Amazon has landed a real Prime Video series hit! Finally there was a teaser for last weekend - with a powerful mix of impressions from the upcoming season, which, as is well known, starts on June 3rd.
The teaser video, cut associatively to the IMAGINE DRAGONS song »Bones«, doesn't tell us too much in terms of content, but it really lets it rip and isn't stingy with explosions and fake blood fountains. This arouses a lot of anticipation for the new eight episodes.
It is also known that the comic story »Herogasm« was adapted for the new season. In it, the superheroes celebrate an excessive sex orgy on a remote island, with drugs being handed out ad infinitum. Sounds like wonderfully weird, politically incorrect entertainment again.

»The Batman« hit theaters last week! Our Mick was finally able to watch it yesterday (compared to the rest of the S.P.A.C.E Crew) and he is completely enthusiastic: a great movie and a refreshingly atypical Batman.
It's largely a classic film-noir tale like in hard-boiled detective fiction with a good dose of »Se7en«. Everything in a magnificent look - night-time, rainy Gotham has never looked so good. Robert Pattinson as young Bruce Wayne / Batman does a good job and the chemistry between him and Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle / Catwoman fits well. The film follows its investigative dramaturgy calmly with relatively little action - but when it crashes, then things really get down to business!

Today we have some more exciting news for all 1/6 collectors among you - this time especially for all horror fans! If you're into "creeps" and also have a heart for the classics of the genre, then it will probably beat faster now: Trick or Treat Studios have announced a whole bunch of new 1/6 figures during Toy Fair 2022 season!
There will be two new Michael Myers figures, namely for »Halloween H20« and »Halloween: Resurrection«. But we are particularly pleased about Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasence) from the original 1978 »Halloween«.

Today the manufacturer QUEEN STUDIOS hit a bang that almost left us speechless! With the headline »THE NEXT GENERATION OF SIXTH SCALE FIGURES ARE COMING SOON«, the company which is known above all for its high-quality statues and life-size busts is actually moving into the popular 1/6 scale!
Under the new own brand or subsidiary »INART« we will probably soon be served with 1/6 figures that will supposedly raise the quality and details to a next level. That sounds super exciting, doesn't it?!
As far as the licenses or themes are concerned, little is known so far. Only a teaser image was published for the time being, which invites you to guess. The silhouettes suggest Lord of the Rings, Batman (The Dark Knight), Harry Potter, Dune and The Matrix...

Last Friday, the manufacturer IRON STUDIOS had us glued to the screen for a few hours, because it was once again »Inside Iron Studios«.
As we know after the last few weeks at the latest, the Brazilians are shooting out one highlight after the other, in the style of their former top striker Ronaldo. So it was clear to us that we would see exciting new collectibles again.
Of course we were not disappointed, so we want to present our favorites to you right away:
First we have to mention the grandiose »X-Men Phoenix« as a 1/10 Deluxe BDS Art Scale Statue, which is emblazoned in front of a huge fire phoenix! A real eye-catcher!
Our next favorite is »Nathan Drake« from the movie Uncharted, also in 1/10 scale as a Deluxe Art Scale Statue.
The Mini Co. collectors will get their money's worth with the four Turtles, Batman fans can look forward to a Knightmare Batman from »Zack Snyder's Justice League« or Joker and Harley Quinn from »Batman The Animated Series«.
There is also something new for all lovers of the first »Avengers« movie:

Winter is coming to an end... The manufacturer McFarlane Toys took this as opportunity for the »Winter Showcase« and presented a colorful mix of novelties past weekend!
In addition to the first DC Direct statues (Batman and Riddler from »The Batman«, as well as a Joker), which are now under the care of Todd McFarlane, we were also able to catch a glimpse of further figures from the DC Multiverse series. The huge »Joker Dragon« is a real eye-catcher here, as well as the first figures from »Man-Bat« and »Killer Croc«. Many fans have been waiting for the »Ghost-Maker« and the first reactions are consistently positive!
The third wave of the Spawn series was also announced with the »Overtkill«, »Spawn Deluxe Set«, »Ninja Spawn«, »Haunt« and »Raven Spawn (Small Hook)«. A little info on the side: McFarlane Toys will soon start a Kickstarter campaign for a new Spawn figure - we are extremely excited! The rumor mill is bubbling and suspects a Medieval Spawn!
It continued with the following new announcements:
- Warhammer 40K: Chaos Space Marine and Dark Angels Assault Intercessor Sergeant
- Disney Mirrorverse: Maleficent and Captain Hook
- My Hero Academia: Overhaul and Hawks (there was a “first look” here)
A "mega cool" also flitted from our lips to the new »Page Punchers«. A comic including a figure (2.5 - 3 inches) awakens our collector's heart and reminds us of "the good old retro times".
You see: Todd McFarlane seems to be on the fast lane with full speed. We actually wonder though if all this is not a bit too much on quantity? Sometimes, less could be more... we think that some really detailed and extravagant highlights would be more welcome.

In March 2022 we are celebrating a premiere with regard to our product of the month: for the first time we are chosing an item from the Japanese manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY in this month, namely the Meliodas PVC statue from the »Pop Up Parade« line!
The leader of the »Seven Deadly Sins« is incredibly detailed despite his small 15cm size and, above all, is beautifully painted. You could almost think that the Dragon Sin (deadly sin of wrath) was pulled straight from the anime into reality. Normally it's the other way around in anime ;).
We are sure that all of you otakus will be satisfied with our choice. GSC's »Pop Up Parade« has cought our attention quite for some time now in a very positive way, as the price/performance ratio is really still okay here. Exemplary!

Today is the day - the long-awaited and latest creation from FromSoftware Inc. is coming to the market: ELDEN RING. From now on, some Tainted will certainly try to realize the opening quote and become an Elden Lord in the Lands Between.
Probably the most extensive work from the Japanese development studio, which was created in cooperation with George R.R. Martin and BANDAI NAMCO, has already been showered with laurels and has an incredible Metacritic of 97. Also one or the other from the S.P.A.C.E Team will dive into the fantasy open world and get an impression of the game.
With BANDAI NAMCO taking over the production of »Elden Ring«, it is not surprising that TAMASHII NATIONS (part of the Bandai group) has already announced that they will be serving the fans with figures. We are looking forward to the first announcements - you too?

It's a pity, but unfortunately the Toy Fair New York cannot take place again this year due to the pandemic. Luckily though, Covid-19 cannot prevent that a lot of new collectibles are being introduced to us!
The manufacturer NECA has set up an in-house toy fair in the past few days and blasted out numerous and super exciting new announcements via social media:
One of the first highlights was the »Elton John Live in 75« 8-inch clothed action-figure which shows him during his legendary performance at Dodger Stadium in 1975.
There's only a work-in-progress video of the two versions of the »Dog Thing« from »The Thing«, but the creatures look pretty scary.
For all Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans, there's a lot of new stuff going on here:
Another TMNT crossover with the Universal Monsters is in the starting blocks, this time Michelangelo has dressed up as »The Mummy«. For all fans of the cartoon series, there are two new 2-packs - »Smash & Zach« and »Rock Soldier Infantry & Crooked Ninja Turtle Goon«. Movie fans will be given a »TMNT II: The Secret of the Ooze Turtles 4-Pack« and an »Accessory Pack«. But that's not all, because we can look forward to a TMNT Adventures »Slash« and a »Renet« from the Mirage Comics - also a really nice »The Last Ronin« and a 1/4 Scale Leonardo in the cartoon style.
However, NECA's new accessory packs will not only be available for the Turtles. More accessories are coming for the Gremlins series (including a little pink speedster for Gizmo) and the »Ultimate Mummy« can finally rest in the long-awaited sarcophagus.

Whaaat?! It's already the 23rd of February?? Then we are overdue to show you the current motif of the S.P.A.C.E Postcard Collection... before the month reaches its "end-time".
February's postcard, which we created together with Christian (@anotherworldx75), does actually smell like this sort of "end-time". What you see here is the »Legion« 1/6 figuren from the »Mass Effect 3« game - a great figure, of course stunningly set in scene and therefore another enrichment for our fund.

For nearly 50 years, peace and quiet reigned in the small town of Harlow, Texas. Only some merchandise that reminds of the cruel deeds of 1974 can be seen occasionally. A group of teenagers comes up with the idea of reviving this ghost town. Harlow could, with a bit of hard work and young blood, become a place for anyone looking for a restart... Fede Álvarez as producer, who has already successfully brought back »Evil Dead« with a remake, and David Blue Garcia as director promise a successful and, above all, spooky movie night. Whether the flick can really keep up with the classic, we will probably find out after work, because then TCM is of course on our watch-list for tonight.

Looking at the star line-up, the film has a high potential. On board are: Ryan Reynolds aka Deadpool, Zoe Saldana aka Gamora, Mark Ruffalo aka Hulk, Jennifer Garner aka Elektra and as director Shawn Levy (Free Guy, Real Steel, Nachts im Museum, Stranger Things...).
Visually the clip seems a bit like »Guardians of the Galaxy« with a touch of »Star Wars« - so it could be a really great combination! We are definately looking forward to March 11th when »The Adam Project« will hit NETFLIX.

It's been a little quiet lately with our beloved »Bishoujo« girls by KOTOBUKIYA. The Japanese manufacturer made our day with the following news:
There will be a »Transformers« Bishoujo series! How cool is that? The first sculpt for Optimus Prime has already been revealed. At least there is also a concept drawing for Megatron. Awesome!
But these are not the only innovations from Koto! The next character of »Darkstalkers« is the pretty Lilith, of whom there has only been a sculpt reveal so far. That also looks pretty promising.
And there are more Bishoujos in the pipeline:
- Kate Bishop from »Hawkeye«
- Athena Asamiya from the arcade game »The King of Fighters '98«
- Barbara Gordon as »Batgirl«
Batman »Bronze Age« and The Joker from the animated film adaptation BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE will complement the ARTFX line and for those who like even more detail, there will be Marvel's Cable as a fine art statue next year.
We're looking forward to finally being able to list these great new items in our shop and especially when they're going to be delivered!

We see many tired faces again this Monday, because for all sports fans it was THE night of nights, the event of the year, the final of the NFL!
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Los Angeles Rams in the 56th Super Bowl, held at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. After Jhene Aiko performed »America the Beautiful« very emotionally and Mickey Guyton caused goosebumps with the national anthem, the game of the year opened with none other than »The Rock«.
Cincinnati was looking like a surefire winner, but about one and a half minutes before the clock was up, just short of the Bengals' end zone, Matthew Stafford's pass went up... in an arc... and Cooper Kupp got the winning touchdown and led the Rams to the Super Bowl victory! This makes the Rams the second team, after the Buccaneers last year, to win the coveted trophy at their home stadium. CONGRATULATION!
All the trappings get almost as much attention as the game itself. After last year's half-time show was pretty clear with "not very spectacular", a bang was needed. A spectacle, a firework, a gigantic highlight... So the field was transformed into a street map of LA. The scenery was kept rather simple, because the focus was on the real stars:
Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar were announced in an epic trailer about two weeks ago. But someone even crept in: surprise star 50 Cent appeared, as in the video clip, dangling upside down from the ceiling of the house scenery, with his song »In da Club«!
Eminem also performed with a guest act (R&B singer Anderson Paak) before he used the performance for a very special message: the kneeling as a sign against police violence and racism, which former NFL player Colin Kaepernick 2016 during the US national anthem in front of a game demonstrated for the first time. The whole performance was really impressive, as we thought!

Of course, the most exciting thing for film and series addicts are the exclusive trailer premieres during the Super Bowl final. To be honest, we would have expected a few more clips here, but at least Amazon kept the promise and showed the first footage of »The Rings of Power«. We are looking forward to your opinion...

Sadly the weeks starts with really tragic news from Hollywood: director Ivan Reitman passed away at the age of 75.
Honestly, this news hit us like a lightning bolt this morning, because Ivan lately made such a good impression during the promo tour for »Ghostbusters: Afterlife«. It was so heart-warming to see him together with his son Jason.
Especially we Ghostbusters fans have so much to thank Ivan Reitman for. What he created will stay forever in our minds, our hearts and surely also in our collections. Who knows... perhaps he and Harold will soon cook up something up there 💗.
