30.09.2022 • ABGESPACED - EPISODE 23
ABGESPACED is back from the summer break - and of course, the September episode is a monster 😱! So much new stuff came together and so many things happened in the last couple of weeks that we simply didn't come around the extra length of about two and a half hours of run time ...
https://youtu.be/C6sfXUEwmOo

Great that the weekend is in fron of us 😅. Tune in and accompany Tobi and Sven on their nerdy travel through Middle-earth and other worlds or galaxies where they came across the brand-new Boromir Art Scale Statue by IRON STUDIOS for example or found an awesome goodie for you guys. We're looking forward to welcome you 🤗!
29.09.2022 • I WILL ALWAYS LOVE HUGH!
DEADPOOL 3 IS COMING HUGHN! Yesterday, the damn cool teaser campaign on the 3rd DEADPOOL part started on Ryan Reynolds' YouTube channel 🤩!!!

In case you haven't seen it yet, please check out these two clips in exactly this order:
Deadpool Update:
https://youtu.be/Yd47Z8HYf0Y
Deadppol Update, Part Hugh:
https://youtu.be/Szj1iqYanFM

After working on the film for a while, Ryan tells us that Deadpool's first appearance in the MCU must be something special ... and this will definately be the case - because Deadpool will be bringing back his favorite anti-buddy Wolverine! How this can work out and why and basically at all did Ryan and Hugh explain in detail 🤣. Shawn Levy (»Night at the Museum«, »Free Guy«) is on board as director. The planned release date is currently set for 6th September 2024. Shit - this is still more than 2 years of waiting. Well, it surely will be worth it 🤟!

Jitterbug into our brains (yeah-yeah) 🥰!
29.09.2022 • SMILE
It is almost October which can only mean one thing: It is creepy season again! While most of the world is still waiting for the release of »Barbarian«, the launch of »Smile« just has happened these days.

According to the first reviews we should expect one of the best horror movies of the year. A movie that can be able to give you some severe anxiety attacks. As we can already see in the title, the movie will shock you with the most evil smile you have seen since Pennywise. In the debut film of Parker Finn a smile indicates that point when you have to scream and run.

»Smile« tells the story of a psychiatrist named Dr. Rose Cotter that is one night confronted with the fate of a distbured young woman. She tells her about a creature that is hunting her for days and which announces its appearance with a creepy smile. Soon Rose will have a first hand experience with that smile.

If you want a first impression you should check out the official trailer:

28.09.2022 • SOME LIKE IT BLONDE
Some like it hot .. You aswell? Then there's a special treat for you on NETFLIX from today!

The new Marilyn Monroe movie »Blonde«, based on the novel by Joyce Carol Oates, was wildly acclaimed at the Venice Film Festival. 14 minutes of standing ovations were given to the film and to Ana de Armas, who portrays Marilyn Monroe with such dedication and intensity that the Oscar nomination is almost certain! Here's the trailer:
https://youtu.be/aIsFywuZPoQ

If you look at the tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes, you will only find a score of 52%. The audience score is only 45%. This already shows how much the film divides the audience.

The film is based on a novel and not on the biography. So not everything the viewer sees is true. But everyone should realize how much truth there is in the story and how tough the business is.

Everyone has to judge for themselves whether director Andrew Dominik's film is good or bad - possible from today in your own streaming theater.

And those of you who are endlessly in love with Marilyn and whose love got enchanted again because of »Blonde«, you should take a look at our product of the month May 2022, the breathtaking 1/4 scale Marilyn Monroe by Blitzway. We still have a few pieces left in stock.
27.09.2022 • THE LAST OF US
The first teaser for the long-awaited HBO series »The Last of Us« was released yesterday:
https://youtu.be/rBRRDpQ0yc0

The ten-episode season is based on the first part of the video game of the same name and fundamentally tells the story of the game ...

20 years after modern civilization was destroyed, hardy survivor Joel is tasked with smuggling 14-year-old Ellie out of a quarantine zone. What sounds simple, soon turns into a brutal and exciting fight for survival across the United States.

The two main characters, Ellie and Joel, are played by Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal, who previously appeared together in »Game of Thrones«.

The trailer looks really great and is a perfect appetizer! A downer, however, is that no exact release date has been announced yet for 2023.

https://youtu.be/oUoS-CBi4iA

One day before Christmas, on December 23rd, we can puzzle with Detective Benoit Blanc who the killer is in »Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery«. Here Rian Johnson exclusively showed another scene from the movie, which makes it even more exciting!
https://youtu.be/NUrK35whbL4

Two days later, the prequel »The Witcher: Blood Origin« shortens the waiting time for the third season of »The Witcher«, which unfortunately will not be released until summer 2023.
https://youtu.be/mawzQRu1Kc4

Then we still have three films on our radar, which do not have a release date yet - the only information is that they will flicker across the screens from 2023 and we now also get a little look behind the scenes:
»Tyler Rake: Extraction 2«, where Chris Hemsworth shows us that we can look forward to some great gunfights and beatings again. And two more hard-hitting action flicks, one being »Heart of Stone«, full of adrenaline with Gal Gadot and »The Mother«, starring Jennifer Lopez in top form:

https://www.whats-on-netflix.com/news/netflixs-tudum-event-movie-and-tv-series-lineup/

We are excited and will put together a little round up early next week ...
22.09.2022 • HAPPY HOBBIT DAY!
Happy Hobbit Day, dear Bagginses and Boffins, Tooks and Brandybucks, Grubbs, Chubbs, Hornblowers, Bolgers, Bracegirdles and Proudfoots!

On the occasion of today, we rummaged through our supplies and reduced 10 HOBBIT items by 33% for you! This offer is only valid today and of course only while supply lasts - so go for it 😃!
22.09.2022 • BACK ON PANDORA
For today's cinema Thursday, we have two films on our watch-list that we can of course also highly recommend to you:

In the run-up to the theatrical premiere of »Avatar: The Way of Water« on December 14, the first part »Avatar« is coming back to the cinemas again today! Surely everybody does still remember the first encounter with the film in 2009. It was a magical cinematic experience that truly amazed us. Such childish ecstasy doesn't happen quite often these days. If you didn't see Avatar in 3D at the cinema back then, make sure to see it now. Only in cinemas - on the big screen and in 3D - you really did experience this movie ...

Another start today is »Don't Worry Darling« by Olivia Wilde (Booksmart). The well-photographed trailer for the mystery thriller impressed us already. Even if the first reviews are a bit mixed and there was talk of a somewhat bloated »Black Mirror« episode, we will watch the film - not least because of Florence Pugh (Midsommar, Black Widow).

We wish you and us a lot of fun at the movies!
21.09.2022 • THE REBELLION BEGINS!
Dear STAR WARS fans, the next highlight from a galaxy far, far away is launching on Disney+ today: »Andor«!

Let's forgive the clever rebel spy Cassian Andor his 3-weeks delay, as he's ready to kick-off with even three episodes that will tie us up on the couch in full-feature length 😉. We are really hoping that the look and feel will be as epic and thrilling as in »Rogue One« and we're keeping our fingers crossed for Diego Luna!

May the Force be with him - and of course with you!
20.09.2022 • JEFFREY DAHMER
For tomorrow we have a little TV tip for you - but only if you are armed well enough for "true crime stories": from tomorrow, the ten-episodes mini-series »DAHMER - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story« about one of the most well-known serial killers in the USA will be available on NETFLIX.

The first trailer was just released over the last weekend, giving us a glimpse of how brutal and unscrupulous Jeffrey Dahmer was:
https://youtu.be/NVHHs-xllqo

For more than 10 years, the Milwaukee murderer killed, lured his victims into his home, drugged them, and then began his cruel game. The series tells about his deeds, but also about the errors in the system, which enabled Jeffrey to pursue his crimes undisturbed from 1978 to 1992. This is surely going to be a hard one and not suitable for weak nervs ...
19.09.2022 • BARBARIAN
Horror movie enthusiasts currently observe the happenings on the us movie market. There we can see the rising of a film called »Barbarian«. To be honest, it seems like the high box office rating can be explained with a lack of good competitors. But nonetheless it is remarkable that this movie gets lots of attention by critiques and fans alike.

They talk about another cult classic that will left you stunned. Especially the fans of raw and brutal movies can expect some thrills from »Barbarian«. This is surprising due to the fact that director Zach Cregger is totally new to horror. Before stepping into the horror genre he was mostly known as an actor and director in the field of comedy.

Maybe that was one of the reasons for casting Bill Skarsgård for one of the leading roles. He is well known in horror circles for his great performance in both of the »Stephen King's Es« remakes as Pennywise.

The plot doesn't contain any surprises: A girl, a weird guy, a overnight stay and a spooky cellar. You probably remember that premise from some other movies as well. If you still want to get more impressions, go for the trailer:
https://youtu.be/Dr89pmKrqkI

At the S.P.A.C.E Headquarter, we are ready for that movie and hope that we can trust the hype!
15.09.2022 • MAXXXINE
If you still have the A24 strip »X« in mind, you probably already have the prequel »Pearl« on your screen! This starts tomorrow in the cinemas of the USA. Unfortunately there is no date for Germany yet, but hopefully we won't have to wait too long. A24 has now dropped a small teaser for the »X« sequel »Maxxxine«.
https://youtu.be/ALNV4mdHGEE

The clip doesn't reveal much yet: you see the Hollywood Hills in 1985, instead of the huge well-known letters you find the eponymous name in white capital letters on the hills. The only survivor, Maxine, has moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of acting. The teaser is accompanied by the ‘80s song "Obsession" by Animotion. The graphic design of the movie title also evokes real old-school flair and we are already looking forward to the first real trailer!
14.09.2022 • S.P.A.C.E POSTCARD COLLECTION SEPTEMBER 2022
Even if Kermit wasn't able to catch any glimpse of »Indiana Jones 5« so far on his excursion, his search actually came to an end on our September postcard: the very sought-after »Collector's Item«, the holy grail, the GOLDEN GONZO :).

After the »Cereal Killer«, our dear friend Marco (@stan_qbrick) made his second contribution to the S.P.A.C.E POSTCARD COLLECTION with this stunning photo. We can only say: Yaaaay - and thanks, Marco, for this wonderful motif!

Grab one copy - of course for free in every package that is leaving our warehouse during this month.
13.09.2022 • D23 EXPO: ROUND-UP PART 2
Today we want to take a look at the D23 Expo highlights from the Marvel Universe from the past weekend:

An exclusive film clip from »Black Panther: Wakanda Forever« was shown, in which Queen Ramonda stands in front of an international court and is charged by claiming vibranium for Wakanda alone. Director Ryan Coogler has also confirmed that the film is still in editing. No details were given about the plot.

The »Ironheart« series takes place after the events of »Black Panther 2«, where main character Riri Williams is introduced, and is intended to blend elements of technology and magic. On-site viewers were able to see an exclusive clip that we are unfortunately not yet able to see. The series will be available to stream on Disney+ in 2023.

Again, only the guests in Anaheim were able to enjoy the first moving images of the new ant adventure »Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania«. Apparently, heroes Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne were seen fighting Kang the Conqueror and MODOK. The movie will officially kick off the fifth phase of the MCU on February 15th, 2023.

An unusual project from Marvel Studios: a horror spectacle entirely in black and white called »Werewolf by Night«. In any case, the trailer promises us a brutal werewolf who makes short work of his hunters. From October 7th, Disney+ will take us back to the scary movies of the 1930s.
https://youtu.be/bLEFqhS5WmI

The trailer for »Secret Invasion« (start date: early 2023) shows Nick Fury returning to earth after his trip in space and having to stop the Skrull invasion. We're looking forward to all the action with a badass Samuel L. Jackson in the leading role!
https://youtu.be/qZVTkn2NjS0

It has been confirmed that »Armor Wars« is still in development - so little is known about it. However, it has been hinted that we will see Colonel James "Rhodey" Rupert Rhodes, aka War Machine, in many different combat uniforms.

Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino and Ke Huy Quan walked straight off the set in London, where the second season of »Loki« is being filmed. A short clip for season 2, which starts in 2023 on Disney+, was then teasered to the D23 audience on the panel.

The next topic was the one where most of the rumors and speculation happened in advance. But the fans were rather disappointed. The hoped-for introduction of the cast of »Fantastic Four« didn't happen, only Matt Shakman was confirmed as the director - we know him from the »WandaVision« director's chair. »Fantastic Four« will premiere in the US on November 8th, 2024.

»Echo« revolves around anti-heroine Maya Lopez and Kingpin from »Hawkeye«. The audience in the Convention Center learned a few details about the series and about the further experiences of the main characters. Unfortunately, we all have to wait a little longer ...

»Daredevil: Born Again« will not just be another season of the discontinued Netflix series, but an independent series. Filming is expected to start next year, and as actor Charlie Cox mentioned, Daredevil could also appear as part of the Avengers in the future.

In 2024 we will be able to admire »Captain America: New World Order« in the cinemas. Alongside »The Falcon and the Winter Soldier« cast members Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson/Captain America), Danny Ramirez (Joaquin Torres) and Carl Lumbly (Isaiah Bradley), new cast member Tim Blake Nelson was also introduced as Samuel Sterns aka the Leader.

The highlight of the entire Marvel presentation was indisputably the introduction of the team of the blockbuster »Thunderbolts«, which is scheduled to hit cinemas on July 26, 2024 and at the same time, marks the end of the fifth phase of the MCU.
There are:
Julia Louis Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine
David Harbor as the Red Guardian
Hannah John Kamen as Ghost
Olga Kurylenko as Task Master
Wyatt Russel as John Walker aka US agent
Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova
Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier

The Marvel event was rounded off with a clip of »The Marvels«, which was shown exclusively at D23. In any case, the excerpt promises a lot of humor and action as well as a reunion with the cat Goose ;). It seems that the »Captain Marvel« sequel will hit cinemas on July 28, 2023.

Kevin Feige and his superheroes do have a lot in the pipeline for the next years :)!
12.09.2022 • D23 EXPO: ROUND-UP PART 1
There was a lot going on last weekend in California at the Disney D23 Expo ... actually not as many news as we hoped, but surely enough for a round-up of the most important announcements and trailers.

Let's start today with the news from LUCASFILM:

»The Mandalorian« made its trailer debut at D23 Expo for season 3 which will continue Mando's success on Disney+ in 2023. This preview was relatively generic. So far we've spotted many old acquaintances, such as Bo-Katan and Greef Karga - and of course a bunch of Mandalorians:
https://youtu.be/odnRRZKhNPk

The twelve-part series »Andor« about the rebel alliance with Cassian Andor starts with three episodes on September 21, 2022 on Disney +. We can look forward to a new episode every week. The new trailer already promises a successful mixture of action and story, with a fantastic »Rogue One« tone in its setting:
https://youtu.be/PboKpnin_Wg

The animated series »Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi« tells us six short stories from the past of famous Jedi and starts with the first short on October 26, 2022 on Disney+. The trailer definitely arouses a lot of curiosity and you could already catch a few glimpses. Surely a must for all Ahsoka fans:
https://youtu.be/-uRRKqQbmw4

The second season of »Star Wars: The Bad Batch« starts - postponed unfortunately - with the first two episodes on January 4, 2023 on Disney+.

For »Star Wars: Skeleton Crew«, Jude Law was shown as a character and teh story was briefly discussed. The series is set to take place during the New Republic era and will be about a group of children, but not for kids ...

We're really looking forward to the live-action series »Ahsoka«. Here you could see a few stills and shot from the set, but unfortunately not more. The production starring Rosario Dawson is slated for release in 2023.

So there will a lot be served in 2023 from the galaxy far, far away. But there was more news from Lucasfilm:

The Disney+ series »Willow« will finally launch in November. This will make all 80's kids very happy and we think it's a perfect timing. We got sweetened and enchanted by another trailer:
https://youtu.be/da7BYWyvwO8

And then there was a true legend hosted on one of the stages at the D23 Expo: Harrison Ford! He gave away some more infos about »Indiana Jones 5« in a very emotional speech. That was pure goosebumps! You guys are surely as excited as we are for first moving pictures :).
09.09.2022 • LOOKING THROUGH THE GLASS ONION
For many, »Knives Out« was one of the films of 2019. In our opinion, Rian Johnson deservedly received an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay for it. It had long been known that the filmmaker would be working on a sequel. Yesterday, the first trailer for »Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery« was dropped - and that alone is really bang, and not just because of the almost naked Dave Bautista 😁!
https://youtu.be/-xR_lBtEvSc

So, let's get excited for Rian Johnson's next stroke of genius, coming to NETFLIX around the Christmas time. By the way, part 3 is already confirmed 🤩.
09.09.2022 • D23 EXPO 2022
After yesterday's Disney+ Day, the D23 Expo starts today. The big fan event runs three days long and will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center, California.

Of course, Disney also means a spectacle for everything that the media giant has incorporated over time: Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and much more.

Such an event is the best opportunity for new trailers, announcements and news about upcoming attractions. Maybe another »Black Panther: Wakanda Forever« trailer or the first »Fantastic Four« trailer? New »The Mandalorian« material? And certainly also films or shows that we have no idea of today. It will surely be exciting!

The hottest news will be probably in the presentations on Saturday. The live stream starts at 7:00 p.m. CET on the Disney channels on YouTube and other social media platforms. We are curious ...

At the beginning of next week we will bring you a small round-up with the most important news and the hottest trailers.
08.09.2022 • ORPHAN: FIRST KILL
»Orphan« from 2009 was a successful horror thriller in which, alongside Vera Farmiga, Isabelle Fuhrman, who was eleven at the time, was brilliant. She played Esther, a violent nine-year-old adopted by a couple who recently lost a baby. The friendly and polite girl hides a dark secret and is in reality everything but the lovely child. The big twist was that she has a growth disorder and is actually a 33-year-old psychopathic killer.

When it became known that »Orphan: First Kill« would be a prequel and that Isabelle Fuhrman would play Esther again, we naturally asked ourselves whether this could work. Because now a 25-year-old actress has to pretend to be a nine-year-old child. Can all of this really be tricked into being believable?

The psychopath has escaped from an asylum and steals the identity of a child who has been missing for years. Gradually, the parents realize that something is wrong with Esther ...

Prequels often have the disadvantage that we already know too much because the story's end comes from the original. That reduces the tension. But it was heard that there should also be a final twist in this movie. Let's see if it can actually surprise us, because we already have an idea. We'll find out if we're right about that at the cinema where the »Orphan: First Kill« is showing from today.
08.09.2022 • DISNEY+ DAY 2022
Today, DISNEY is celebrating Disney+ Day, a special event for all subscribers of the streaming service. There are a couple of special and interesting premieres on the release schedule today:

The highlights include not only »Cars on the Road«, »Wedding Season - until death do them part« or the hybrid documentary series »Growing Up«. We are particularly looking forward to the premiere of the live-action movie »Pinocchio« by Robert Zemeckis (with Tom Hanks as Geppetto) and the free streaming TV premiere of »Thor: Love and Thunder« which was actually released in cinemas a short while ago and has now found its way to Disney+ already.

For all STAR WARS fans, »Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi's Return« is probably a must. Here you can take a look behind the scenes of the series of the same name.

More on Disney+ Day can be found in this clip:
https://youtu.be/mDLjd9CRLqs

It all will continue this weekend with the D23 Expo in the Anaheim Convention Center - but more about that in the news tomorrow 😉.
