Since 2014, the Asian manufacturer Threezero has been presenting collectible figures for »Game of Thrones« in the popular 1/6 scale. The series aso far includes 21 figures. Jaime Lannister from season 7 recently arrived in the Action Figure District lately, where he was put under the magnifying glass by our Mick. You can find the review of the figure here.

It was shortly before Christmas... 20 years ago! »The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring« hit cinemas and made history. It almost wouldn't have happened if the small independent studio New Line Cinema hadn't taken over production. It became a success story for director Peter Jackson, the cast, Weta Workshop, New Zealand and New Line Cinema.
On that day in December 2001, we experienced pure cinema magic. It is no coincidence that many of us still remember this day very clearly - including in which movie theater and with whom we saw this film. The Lord of the Rings trilogy secured a place of honor in the pop culture pantheon. Much of what followed would have been inconceivable without Lord of the Rings. Happy Anniversary dear hobbits, elves, dwarves, wizard, men and orcs of Middle-earth. We already know what we're going to put in the Blu-ray player for Christmas 😄.

Are you ready for the next monster hunt? Today, the second season of »The Witcher« finally starts on NETFLIX! We are really looking forward to encounter Geralt of Rivia, Cirilla of Cintra and Yennefer of Vengerberg again.
A question that drives us is, of course "when does a manufacturer get the license for cool 1/6 figures for the Netflix series?". Dark Horse served both the series and the game in an affordable small format. McFarlane Toys keeps on supplying all fans of action-figures and when it comes to high-end collectibles, Prime 1 Studio already gave us a large selection from »The Wild Hunt«. A Witcher 1/6 license is yet still open.
If we would have to place a bet, our tip would be Threezero. The manufacturer has already earned its spurs in the fantasy genre with the characters for »Game of Thrones« and also already stretched its fingers in the direction of Netflix with the recently presented figures for »Stranger Things«. We are excited and wish all Witcher fans lots of fun from today on your journey to the The Northern Kingdoms...

Today, »Spider-Man: No Way Home« starts hitting cinemas everywhere and the MCU takes the next loop!
The identity of the friendly spider from the neighborhood was revealed. A spell by Doctor Strange goes wrong and opens a gate into the multiverse...
In the trailer we already saw Alfred Molina as Otto Octavius and Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborn / Green Goblin. So there is a lot of evidence that there is something to the rumors and that we also get to see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in their Spidey roles. The speculations come to an end today...

Wow, the force seems to be strong with Quantic Dream!!!
At the Game Awards 2021, the development studio showed a cinematic reveal trailer for »Star Wars Eclipse« and did a great job of making our mouths watering:

Quantic Dream is known for games like »Detroit: Become Human« and »Heavy Rain«. Games that place a lot of value on a complex narrative. The decisions of the players do have a dramatic impact on the course of the story and the gameplay shall offer more possibilities.

A few days ago, 20th Century Studios released a new trailer for »Nightmare Alley«.

The film starts hitting cinemas worldwide very soon and it promises to be one of the highlights in the first quarter of 2022! There are three good reasons why we are really looking forward to the film adaptation of the novel by William Lindsay Gresham:
1. Already the trailer is photographed fantastically, in a great film noir atmosphere that hooked us.
2. It's the new movie from Guillermo del Toro, one of our favorite directors who has never disappointed us. A visit at the movies is of course a must.
3. The cast of the thriller has many Oscar nominees and winners and also brings together a number of our screen favorites: Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Toni Colette, Willem Dafoe, Richard Jenkins, Rooney Mara, Ron Perlman, Mary Steenburgen and David Strathairn.

It somehow seems that IRON STUDIOS raged into the factory of Santa Claus, to make his elves produce collectibles in task work...
Past weekend, the guys from Brazil introduced loads of novelties during their almost 16-hours long »Inside« show on YouTube. You almost get smashed by all the impressions!
Especially the new license reveals cought our attention, because in the near future, we can look forward to collectibles from »Masters of the Universe«, »Turtles«, »Saint Seiya!«, »Kiss«, »Peaky Blinders«, »The Exorcist« or »The Iron Giant«.
Besides that, they of course also showed a lot of new prototypes. We totally freaked out about the Prince Adam 1/10 Art Scale statue. It was also very nice to see that the ThunderCats will get to face their enemies ( Ma-Mutt, Slithe aso.).
The DeLorean railroad full set in 1/10 from the 3rd »Back to the Future« part totally blew us away. We just hope that the price won't blast through the roof again...
Another pleasant surprise was Bugs Bunny as Batman and Daffy Duck as Superman from »Space Jam«. And talking about cartoon stuff, we should also mention Dino + Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm from the cult cartoon series »The Flintstones« - sugar sweet!
And the list goes on and on, collectible by collectible...

Let's admit it: the finale of season 2 of the NETFLIX series »Money Heist« was the perfect ending for the series. But when something is that successful, no broadcaster wants to keep the hands off the money printing machine and so three more seasons followed. Starting today, the final episodes of season 5 part 2 will air on Netflix.
We are also happy to admit that we were looking forward to seeing the heroes again, even if that unfortunately means that there is a lot of blasting around and the authors let some cherished characters jump over the edge. But you're never really dead in the world of series, because luckily the language of film invented flashbacks. This is most impressively proven with Berlin, who was still present in flashbacks after his serial death at the end of season 2 and with »Berlin: A New Series« in 2023, he will even get his own series as a prequel for »Money Heist«.

To be honest, we can't really explain this oversight... Either it just slept through - or the space-time continuum has been interrupted. Thank goodness Doc Emmett Brown has just landed at the S.P.A.C.E Headquarter, back from the future, or more precisely from the year 2015!
NECA has added the ingenious inventor of the time machine, as seen in the second part of the trilogy, as a stunning implementation to their BTTF Ultimate figure line and thus certainly brought a highlight of 2015 - uhhm 2021 - to all BTTF fans! Not only the ingenious packaging (just look at the front!), but above all the accessories, the clothing and of course the 3 interchangeable heads with the very well-made likeness of Christopher LLoyd make this collectible a must-have for every time traveler among you!
The Doc - our product of the month December 2021 - is now in stock and will be delivered immediately after your order - maybe even by drone, because who needs roads...?! Where we're going, we don't need roads!

The MCU takes the next round! From today, Disney+ is streaming the first two episodes of the new MARVEL series »Hawkeye«. The Christmassy trailers brought us in good mood and aroused our desire for the series. So the evening is saved 🤩.
If we think one more step ahead, towards collectibles, then we are pretty sure that HOT TOYS will soon be announcing Clint Barton and Kate Bishop as 1/6 figures. At least they presented all main characters from the Marvel series as mini-thems in 1/6 scale so far...

When the Showtime series »Dexter« started in 2006, it quickly became a hit and Dexter Morgan (played by Michael C. Hall), a blood trail expert with a dark secret, became a crowd-pleaser. During the first seasons, the series was really awesone (the fourth season with John Lithgow as Trinity Killer will not be forgotten!). Unfortunately, the series began to falter with the last few seasons. The disastrous final 8th season was a big disappointment for most of the fans.
Now is the time to wipe the disgrace and hopefully give the series a more dignified conclusion. Show runner Clyde Phillips promises us: "The finale will be breathtaking, shocking, surprising and unexpected. And without evoking anything, I can already say that the internet will explode."
