The last week wasn't quite as rich with new, exciting trailers, so our Trailer Tuesday is a bit leaner and here and there we make a small (or big) question mark, like behind the first long trailer for »Monster Hunter«, a soulless and not even good CGI orgy... We look forward to get a letter from the Boss and the documentary »Bruce Springsteen’s Letter to You« on Apple TV+. The Spanish HBO series »30 Coins« and the Stephen King miniseries »The Stand« make us cautiously optimistic. And CD Projekt RED continues to feed our greed on »Cyberpunk 2077«. We don't have to wait much longer. In Night City, your style determines everything...

»Dexter« gets a new season after seven years. What did we celebrate the series back then, even if after the fourth season it unfortunately lost more and more momentum and the finale was simply disappointing! Now there is the possibility to bring the series to a worthy end with ten new episodes.

In addition to Michael C. Hall, showrunner Clyde Phillips is back on board. SHOWTIME broadcaster Gary Levine said "We wouldn't bring this unique character back if we hadn't found a creative approach worthy of the brilliant original series. Clyde Phillips and Michael C. Hall came up with such an approach and we can't wait to show it to the world."

Now that sounds promising! Season 9 is scheduled to go on air on SHOWTIME in fall 2021. We really look forward to seeing the "serial killer with codex" again.

Today we again have a high-ranking visitor to the S.P.A.C.E headquarters! Marc, whom some of you know as »the Euronerd« from Instagram, has arranged to meet us for a coffee.

Marc didn't come empty-handed, but with a huge pile of the brand new and hot off the press NERDY STYLEZ. This super cool free magazine will be in our distribution starting today. A Nerdy Stylez is included in every package, free of charge of course!

Our »Postcard Collection« goes into the second round - or rather is right in the middle of it... because since October 1st you will get the »Beetlejuice« postcard in every package from us - as always free of charge!

The design shows the beautiful 1/7 scale Beetlejuice PVC statue from KOTOBUKIYA's popular »Horror Bishoujo« series. The fantastic artwork was designed and staged by our friend Peter (@collectors_apartment). A big thanks, combined with a huge compliment for the work goes to Peter "SmerliPowers" Pan ;)

Originally the annual NEW YORK COMIC CON would start today in New York at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Of course this event is also cancelled due to Covid-19. As alternative the organizers arranged an extensive on-line program under the label »New York Comic Con x MCM Comic Con's Metaverse«. You can find more information here.

Sideshow, who are usually very active at the NYCC, have taken the reins again and are organizing their own con since Tuesday - online, of course. The first highlights could already be discovered during the shows and live streams. Among them were all the »Clone Wars« figures from Hot Toys including Ahsoka Tano or the 1/10 Cave Troll from Iron Studios. But also Sideshow's own, brand new Iron Man Mark XLIII Maquette is a real eye-catcher!

A lot of new trailers have come out in the last few days - accordingly the horn of plenty for our trailer Tuesday is full of promising prospects. These are unfortunately a little bit clouded by the latest news from Warner Bros. about »Dune«: the theatrical release has been postponed by almost a year to October 2021! The Corona crisis is seriously forcing the cinema industry to its knees...

Nevertheless have fun clicking through our selected clips. The story trailer for »Assassin's Creed Valhalla« was the one that shook us the most. Very cool that the game will be released in about a month :)

Our Product of the Month October 2020 takes us 50 years back to the Wild West of 1970, when the classic spaghetti westerns of the 60s were followed by two very special, glorious scoundrels and they undoubtedly made film history: Bud Spencer and Terence Hill - legends of our childhood, with their movies for eternity...

It would probably be difficult to make an exact hit list of all Bud Spencer & Terence Hill movies, but »The Devil's Right and Left Hand« is certainly one of everyone's favorites. From exactly this movie the Italian manufacturer »Infinite Statue« took Bud Spencer in his role as Bambino as a model and released a wonderful resin statue in 1/6 scale.

Infinite always go into their statues with great attention to detail and so once again an iconic collector's item has been created - in a strictly limited edition of only 600 copies worldwide!

We' ve rarely looked forward to the delivery of a collectible as much as we did with this one - and of course a Bud Spencer had to make its way to our own showroom as well.

You don't have to fight for Bambino with your fists yet, because we were able to get a few more pieces for you. But don't think about it too long, because Bud will be completely sold out soon!

In the past two months, we've been pushing our creativity controls to the max and gave all our efforts to finally be able to present you our new YouTube format today:

Translated in English, this means something like »SPACED OUT - NEWS FROM THE FIGURE UNIVERSE«. In this show, which is produced in our S.P.A.C.E studio, we will look back with you on the past month, round up all highlights and interesting news and of course we'll also take a glimpse on the upcoming weeks.

"We" are in the 1st episode - the test drive so to say - Sven and Tobi from our crew. For the next episodes we will also have guests at the studio. There will of course also be exiting specials in every show, like unboxings, sweepstakes, discount coupon and some tales from the crypt ;)

Trailer Tuesday Time! Still, it is rather the "smaller" movies that find their way to the big screen - like the Spanish horror movie »Malasaña 32«, which will be released on November 19th. Could definitely be nice and spooky...

In terms of series, we're also staying in the horror genre: Netflix is showing us the second trailer for »The Haunting of Bly Manor« and a first teaser for the animated series »Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness«. The »Barbarians« and the Battle of the Teuteburg Forest are surely going to be bloody too. Transformers fans can look forward to the trailer for chapter 2 of the animation series »Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy«. Amazon Prime Video offers a preview of the Walking Dead spin-off »World Beyond« and the horror comedy series »Truth Seekers« with Nick Frost and Simon Pegg. The trailer for Marvel's »Hellstrom« on Hulu also looks promising and beautifully dark.

We also found three new trailers for games that will pleasantly excite your retinas. Horror is promised by »The Medium« and you can experience an underwater adventure with »Aquanox: Deep Descent«. The NieR Prequel »NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139...« will surely find many fans. However, it will not be released before April 23, 2021.

Many conventions such as the San Diego Comic Con dropped out this year due to the Corona Pandemic. Studios and also many manufacturers of collectibles are faced with the task of finding new ways of presentation and are moving events into the virtual world of the Internet. The most recent example is the »Hasbro Pulse Con« on September 25 and 26, where the manufacturer presented a colorful program of panels, background information and, above all, tons of new presentations around the Hasbro lines of Transformers, G.I. Joe, Power Rangers, Marvel Legends, Ghostbusters and Star Wars. You can find an extensive round-up of Pulse Con at the colleagues of THE FWOOSH.

At Marvel Legends we are happy about the first Jocasta figure ever! Thors Stormbreaker in 1:1 is a real eye-catcher. At the Ghostbusters we are looking forward to the Ecto-1 - matching the figures of the »Plasma Series« - and in the Star Wars Black Series there are also a lot of figures that will make our fan hearts beat faster: Rey (Dark Side Vision), The Armorer, Jar Jar Binks, Boba Fett... just to name a few. Very funny are the Stormtroopers in the Christmas look. New in the weapons cabinet you can soon add Ahsoka Tano's Lightsaber to your collection. But the absolute hit is without a doubt Hasbro's newest »HasLab« project - the Razor Crest spaceship from The Mandalorian.

Did you have a look at Hasbro Pulse Con? What was your highlight?

As a blockbuster, »Tenet« was the yardstick for all further large-scale productions. Unfortunately, due to the Corona virus, it fell short of expectations and drew fewer people to the cinemas in the US than hoped. Result: at the studios Fear is spreading and planned start dates are postponed again and again.

»Black Widow« won't hit German theaters until May 6, 2021. Originally, November 6, 2020 was planned. Everything else from the MCU moves to next Summer and beyond accordingly. Looks like the cinema will remain a blockbuster-free zone for the next few months (at least as far as new films are concerned). Those of you who struggle with Marvel withdrawal symptoms can at least watch »WandaVision« (end of 2020) and »The Falcon And The Winter Soldier« (early 2021) on Disney+.

And again we have o colorful mix for our Trailer Tuesday, which will hopefully also attract your interest. Harry Potter fans and sorcerers' apprentices will certainly get their money's worth in the action role-playing game »Hogwarts Legacy«. For those who always wanted to go to Florida can visit post-apocalyptic Miami in the Environmental Showcase trailer for the »Fallout 4« add-on »Fallout: Miami«. This looks pretty good. The trailer for the adventure game »Twin Mirror« made our mystery fans really curious.

We introduced »Archives« a few months ago. It was now shown at the Fantasy Film Fest and will hopefully find a way into our theaters as well. There are four »Blumhouses« in October on Amazon Prime. Definitely worth a look!

Regarding the series, we are waiting for a German broadcast date for the Showtime miniseries »Your Honor«, because a crime / thriller series with Bryan Cranston is a must see with no ifs or buts.

And then of course there is the first trailer for »WandaVision« from Marvel. We admit that even after this trailer we don't get the series sorted properly. The opinions with us oscillate between “original” and “something completely different and wonderfully crazy” to “scratching our heads in perplexity ”. We can get a clearer picture at the end of the year, because the series is scheduled to start on Disney+ in December. What are your expectations of Wanda and Vision?

Last night, the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards were presented. The "Pand-Emmys", as presenter Jimmy Kimmel called them in his opening monologue, took place without an audience. Nominees and winners were connected via stream. Even if the usual glamor was a bit slimmer, it was an entertaining event.

The big winner of the evening was the Canadian comedy series »Schitt's Creek« with 7 awards in the major categories. In the drama series, the HBO series »Succession« was ahead with 4 trophies. »Watchmen« (HBO) won 4 prizes in the top categories. The miniseries had a total of 26 nominations and received 11 awards. An Emmy also went to Germany: Maria Schrader received the award for best director in a miniseries for the Netflix production »Unorthodox«.

Which drama, comedy and miniseries were your favorites?

Those of you who already received a package from us in September surely not only noticed our new blue "goodie bags" (or goodie envelopes, with lots of flyers, stickers aso.) - nope, you probably got stuck also with the included postcard...

As you can guess already by the name, we are talking about a collection of postcards which we are creating together with friends, partners and also customers. What can be done with such a postcard - or a whole series of postcards? Well, you can collect them, you can pin them somewhere, of course they are also nice in a little frame on the wall - or you go totally nuts and use the postcard as a postcard! Right: sending somebody a card with a proper motif for a proper event or just like that by mail. Very old school - but surely charming! Caution: don't forget the stamp!

Roughly 6 weeks ahead of the launch of the second season of THE MANDALORIAN, Disney+ finally sweetened our evening yesterday with the trailer! Star Wars fans: buckle up and definately click in if you haven't done it yet. There's so much to see - amongst other things somebody from a certain order of sorcerers, called "Jedi"...

In case you can't make it until 30. October without fresh Bantha fodder, then we have a really yummie snack for in between for y'a: two days ago, EA surprisingly uploaded an almost 7-minute long animated short-movie called »Hunted« from the »STAR WARS: Squadrons« storyline to their YouTube channel. This is absolutely worth seeing and it totally heats up for the game which should fly in on 2. October!

It's just stupid when an alien invasion is taking place during that week and you don't even notice it. Maybe we all recognize ourselves in the sci-fi comedy »Save Yourselves!» along with our social media obsessions.
Body swap stories are a popular comedy subgenre. The makers of »Happy Deathday» cross it this time in »Freaky» with a slasher story. That could work well and is worth a bucket of popcorn to us.
The Hulu horror anthology series »Monsterland» (based on the novel »North America Lake Monsters» by Nathan Ballingrud) also seems to be very promising.
Our highlight of the week is the final trailer for »Ratched» from the makers of »American Horror Story». The series starts on Netflix this Friday!

Sometimes we ask ourselves "what, 22 years... where did they go?!". And then, a thousand things, events, experiences and especially emotions come to our minds, that it feels like a reflection of half of an eternity of "history".

There's breaking news from the zombie apocalypse! According to Variety, the cult series THE WALKING DEAD will finally come to an end with season 11. Who could have expected that...

Well, almost everybody, somehow - because the buzz around all the Undeads and Survivors became pretty low lately, didn't it? But it will take a while until the very last episode will air in late 2022. And of course AMC is already after another spin-off series which will focus on Daryl Dixon und Carol Peletier. Well, who could have expected THAT? Also almost everybody, somehow ;)

But let's wait and see and think positive that the grand finale will be a worthy and epic one!
